Our story begins with a painter named Erich Stegmann, a polio survivor who grew up without the use of his arms. Despite his condition, he built a highly successful career in Germany by painting with a mouth-led brush.
He believed that by joining together, painters with similar conditions could do the same.

What we are is an organization that believes that beautiful art can be created in many different ways. Not just with hands, but with teeth and toes as well.
MFPA is a platform that amplifies the work of the many talent artists worldwide who paint with their mouths and feet, allowing them to build successful careers of their own—just like Erich Stegmann.

With brushes held by their teeth, and clenched between their toes, many of our artists have earned international recognition—as well as the support of prominent figures like former Vice President Al Gore, Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, Prince Harry, actor Pierce Brosnan, singer Tony Bennett and astronaut, Chris Hadfield.
