Mug - Winter Retreat by Daniel Laflamme

Winter Retreat  Foot painted by Daniel Laflamme

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born prematurely in 1958 with cerebral palsy, Daniel Laflamme has always approached life with determination and creativity. The eldest of four children, he was raised by loving parents who encouraged his independence and supported his ambitions.

Inspired by a television program featuring a young girl without arms who used her feet to perform everyday tasks, Daniel decided to follow her example. He soon learned to eat and draw with his feet, discovering a new way to express himself.

Daniel discovered painting at the age of 24, in 1982. After studying art at Convent St. Joseph in Sainte-Foy, Quebec, he continued developing his skills through private lessons for three years.

Daniel joined the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 1985. Working primarily in oils, he finds inspiration in the landscapes and familiar surroundings of his home near Quebec City. His paintings reflect his personal perspective, creativity, and appreciation for the world around him.

Outside of painting, Daniel enjoys computers, sports, music, and crafts.
