MEET MOUTH PAINTER - YOHAI LEVI
In 1988, Yohai Levy was severely injured in a motorcycle accident, leaving him unable to use his hands and feet. Shortly afterwards, he began experimenting with mouth painting and quickly discovered how much joy it brought him. With the support of the Association, he received a scholarship just three years after his accident, allowing him to devote himself to developing his artistic skills.
Yohai received painting lessons and encouragement from an Israeli publishing house, helping him make remarkable progress in a short time. He became an Associate Member of the VDMFK in 2000 and has since exhibited his work extensively. His favourite subjects are flowers and landscapes, which he predominantly paints in watercolour.
In recent years, Yohai has also dedicated his time to supporting and educating others. He visits schools to speak about road safety and demonstrate his unique painting technique, and is regularly invited to universities to share his experiences of rehabilitation with psychologists and social workers.
Through his art and his work with young people, Yohai continues to turn his own experience into an opportunity to inspire and connect with others.
