ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fu-Tsai Tung was born on 19 February 1963. At the age of 20, on 2 September 1983, he sustained an injury during a diving incident. He was taken to hospital in Taipei where, following three months of treatment, the doctors told him that he would remain paralysed for the rest of his life. As a result of this diagnosis, Fu-Tsai Tung lost any zest for life. All of this changed in 1993 when he began painting with his mouth and took great pleasure in it. One year later, he became a Scholarship Holder of the Association. In 2011, he became an Associate Member of the VDMFK. He has been a Full Member of the Association since 2023.

His favourite themes include flowers, landscapes and still lifes. He paints these with oil paints. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Taiwan and, as a result, the artist has received media coverage.
